Use My Home Finder to Set Up an Automated Search for Homes in  Middle Tennessee

Buying a home can be one of the most stressful events in your life.  You need an experienced Realtor to guide you through the entire process.  My commitment to you begins the moment we meet.  I do not want to "sell you a house."  I want to help you find your next home and make sure you have everything you need to take care of that home and enjoy the community you're living in.

Relocating from out of town or another state?  Your time to search for a home will most likely be limited.  That's why we start the home search before you ever get here.  On a daily basis, I send you information on homes for sale which meet your preferences.  As we discuss these listings, I learn more and more about what you like (and don't like!).  We talk about the way you and your family live you life, not just how many bedrooms and baths you want!

Providing you with information on schools, local government links, shopping & restaurants, local sports and utilities for your home are just a handful of the services I provide.  Need someone to open your new house so the painter or carpet installer can get in - I'll take care of it!!  Need suggestions for summer camp or activites for your kids?  With three children of my own, I've got lots of ideas!

What can I afford?

When you go shopping, for clothes, a car or a house, it's always good to know your spending limits.  To get some idea of how much home you can afford, without having a lender pull your credit, you can try several things:

  • Pull your credit report for yourself to make sure it's accurate.  You're entitled to one free report every 12 months.  Get more information on how to obtain a report at the Federal Trade Commission web site for consumers.
  • Read my article on How Much Home Can You Afford?
  • Use the calculator to fill in debt amounts and calculate what you might qualify for.

I need to sell my current home.  Should I buy first?

This is a common dilemma for many buyers.  I recommend you Sell First, Then Buy.

What utility companies do I need to call?

Follow this link to a list of local utilities.  I suggest you contact these service providers at least two weeks before you are scheduled to move in to verify service in your area and arrange for any deposits.

What are the schools like around here?
